To ensure a smooth lounge experience, it is important to book a lounge that matches your flight terminal and departure zone (e.g., Domestic, International, Transborder or Schengen/Non-Schengen). Here's what to check before confirming your booking:
1. Confirm Your Flight Terminal and Zone
- Contact your airline to confirm your departure terminal and whether your flight is domestic, international, transborder or Schengen/Non-Schengen
- Lounge access is only permitted within the same terminal and zone as your departing flight
2. Understand Lounge Location Types
- Airside Lounges: Located after immigration/security. Accessible only to departing or transiting passengers with valid boarding passes and travel documents
- Landside Lounges: Located before immigration/security. Accessible to arriving passengers or those waiting before check-in
3. Special Notes for U.S. and Transborder Flights
- U.S. Domestic passengers cannot access lounges in International Departure areas, and vice versa
- At North American airports, passengers departing from U.S. Transborder or U.S. Departures areas cannot access lounges in Domestic or International zones.
- U.S. Transborder passengers must ensure they book a lounge located in the U.S. Departures zone of their terminal.
-
Always confirm your departure terminal and zone with your airline before booking.
4. Special notes for Schengen and Non-Schengen Flights
- Schengen lounges: For flights within the Schengen Area (most EU countries)
- Non-Schengen / Extra-Schengen lounges: For flight outside the Schengen Area (e.g., UK, USA, Asia)
- Always confirm your departure terminal, zone, and Schengen status with your airline before booking
5. If You're Transiting Between Terminals
- Ensure you have enough time and the necessary documents to clear immigration/customs if required
- Lounge access may not be possible if your transit does not allow re-entry into the terminal where the lounge is located
On our Official Website, each Plaza Premium Lounge location (excluding affiliated lounges) provides a fact sheet that clearly indicates:
- Whether the lounge is located in the airside or landside area
- A terminal map to help you identify the exact location and access point
Before booking, we strongly recommend reviewing the lounge’s fact sheet to ensure it aligns with your flight terminal, departure zone, and access eligibility.
